Hey Nigel,
Nice guitar. That serial number makes it a 1988. And nicely looked after by the looks of it. Let me first say it isn't the best of times for selling high end guitars.
£3000 was no bargain 9 years ago either, and you may have trouble recouping that quickly. Your best chance at getting close to £3k would probably be to list it privately and see what offers you get (there are
free guitar classifieds on this site, and numerous other places online - also guitar magazines and music shops with noticeboards)
It might also sell for £3k if you put it on consignment at a larger vintage guitar dealer, like the ones in Denmark Street, London. But they will take a cut, naturally. They may get £3000 for it, but it may also take several months to sell.
On ebay, i'd imagine you'd get somewhere between £1500 and £2500 depending on its actual condition, how well you list it, and who wants it. Plus there are ebay fees, paypal etc.
Nice guitar though - i'd hang on to it for a few more years if it were mine.
